is it possible to overlay a current ship with another ship gfx and rotates in the right direction as the current ship when moving and other players can see the gfx over the current ship?

It's possible, but it would look terrible and take a huge amount of work.

just send the shipchange packet to everyone else and dont update that one person. it kind of gives the same effect without any need for any overlaying graphics kind off stuff.

I think you would have to make a compromise in the settings.

If you went with edtheinvincible's method, the ship radius for example will have to be the same for the overlay ship and the real ship.

Another way is to set max speed to 0 and make rotation really slow. Then you would only need to toggle one map object over the target player every time they spawned or warped. You may have to set repel speed to 0, or disallow it.

i was thinking that a gfx overlay on a ship could be an alternative to having "more ships" but nvm
