Misc:SlowFrameCheck:0:1:Whether to check for slow frames on the client (possible cheat technique) (flawed on some machines, do not use)
How is it flawed?
Misc:SlowFrameRate:0:35:Check whether client has too slow frame rate to play (0=disabled, 1-35=Frame Rate limit, if < than this, kicked)
There are some suspected cheaters doing something w/ their FPS--
as their ping is really low, and yet they hop around the screen.
They're using Cont .38; but I'm not exactly the sure of the signs - and don't want to falsely ban them (or allege they're cheating). _________________ Performance is often the art of cheating carefully. - James Gosling |

I don't know how SlowFrameRate works, but I know what my client does when I come back to playing from alt tabbed mode.. it stays at 2-4 fps for like 2 seconds. I wouldn't want to get kicked for that. _________________ Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum viditur. |

frame rate depends on your cpu, and video card ram...
i usually get 20s in FPS when im around heavy .lvz backgrounds (16mbit-32mbit)
i also get frame spikes that goes 10-20s
yet my ping is low because my bandwidth is great (dsl) (except for the stupid negative packet loss)
AND REMEMBER, there are a great many subspace players that have crappy computers and can only play in zones with little to no .lvz
which is why u dont see more players in Metal Gear CTF, and other .lvz heavy zones (.lvz bgs) as opposed to extreme games and Trench Wars |

Well, I have a crappy computer and mine runs limited with 60fps. But yah, the zone itself isn't LVZ intensive like those you mentioned. |

some ppl have crappier computers that can barely maintain a 20 fps
on NON lvz zones =\
and i dont see how low FPS can help a player...unless you really enjoy sudden deaths from enemies that suddenly pop out of nowhere and u just die |
