Just run a server just like you would on the internet.. just disable directory server listing _________________ Performance is often the art of cheating carefully. - James Gosling |

How many players? Any box less than 8-10 years old should be able to handle you and a few friends seamlessly. Something less than 5 years old should be able to handle 50+ players without problems.
It also depends on the zone settings. Dragon Ball Z settings will require more power than SVS settings. _________________ Hyperspace Owner

Good lord, there will be no DBZ style settings, but I'm still waiting to see if we're gunna have the guys to actually run it.
Reason I brought this up was some guys and I are planning on a Halo 2 game here in the next week or two. And, we're pretty big halo fans, but we always bring atleast one other thing to pass the night with while others are playing halo 2. The guys' place we are having it at have a nice large basement and we could easily fit six pc's. I'm thinking, download and run mervbot, one sysops no mods (Hell, we're all going to be under the same roof. Someone acts up, just smack'em in the back of the head.) I'm thinking I can run atleast ten people with my computer. I don't know why I want to do this so bad, but I've been wanting to for about three years now. |
