Im not sure if any of you ever played TradeWars back in the day or still do (A lot of people still play it ) but, i was just thinking ... with some bot coding, the client, and asss do you think it would be possible/feasible to make a tradewars clone with the continuum interface?
Interesting idea for a zone... |

Fistst of all, since this is not directly Continuum-related, it should have been posted in Trash Talk.
Second of all, you will never, sadly, convince anyone to take up such a large project for you. The only way to get it done is to do it yourself (and maybe have some other programmers to help you out with the small stuff, like Ekted did). _________________ This help is informational only. I'm sorry, I was speaking relatively, Ekted. I don't underestimate your work!
Oh, and I know you weren't asking anybody directly, Onlyone, I was just telling you that you'll have to do it yourself if you want it done. |

I think people try to hard to make continuum something that it's not. Its great for what it IS, and I think it should be played largely that way, not like making a zone that mimicks another game. If people wanted to play that game, they would play it. They wouldn't play some poser zone that is nothing like the original game at all. _________________

I somewhat disagree. There are some great "copycat" zones out there. For example, take a look at SSDT Zelda:MotW when you have a chance, it's one of the best ones out there right now.
Copying another game is good if and only if you put a lot of effort into gameplay, as well. It's no fun to have a copy zone and then have the gameplay be like crap. That's why Total Annihilation died. |

Well I haven't been there, and that may very well be the case. In my experience however, most copycat zones don't work so well. |
