ASSS doesn't seem to start because of a missing msvcr71.dll. I have winXP home edition. I downloaded this file and tried placing it in the asss directory, system and system32 folder, none of those seemed to work.
Asss gives me the error:
Unrecoverable error (5): Error in loading module 'scoring:persist'
The version I'm using is right off of catid's site, grabbed it so i could start learning some module writing |

Remove everything in the data folder. See if that fixes it. _________________ Hyperspace Owner

can you get it to connect 50% ? I find my zone on the serverlist but when I add it it turns red. I'm thinking it's because I lack a billing server... should I use subbill? or should it work anyways? |

nope, billing is unneeded. Just edit your zone.dat file and change your zone's ip to 127.0.0.1 . Your zone turning red probably has more to do with a firewall being up, so just do the above step and see if it works |

Catid's compile uses it. He linked againt it, it doesn't actually *need* it. |

Nasty? The ".NET" has nothing to do with those projects and it has nothing to do with your problem either, nothing nasty there, so far. |
