Server Help

If there was a verry fast corperate server offering zones for lets say 25 dollars a month, despite the quality of the zone, do you think anyone would pay?

Nope too many cheap ****** out there... only a high quality zone *might* consider it.. just depends on server speed and connection speed.

Is this 25 per zone, or are you saying you can get a host for 25 per month and can host zones?

$25 per month is a bit much for subspace. It's not like it requires that much bandwidth.

There are good free hosts out there anyway...

If people are paying, then you need to offer tech support and stuff (how to import custom ships, etc). I think you should only charge if the average monthly pop is over a certain amount (at least 10), or monthly bandwidth exceeds a preset value.

$10 a month or something seems reasonable for a server like SSC
that's my opinion tho
then again, it's subspace..who in their right mind will pay for something like that?

everyone realizes only the zone owner is paying this 25 a month right? some dumb***es dont think its the players do they? Just seems like some of you are thinking that way.
