Server Help

I don't know if this is irregular...but when I run my server (just to test something new in my zone), if ANYONE comes in... everything gets extremely laggy. I mean, it takes 5 times as many bombs as it should to kill them...my ping reaches the 1000's sometime.

I am running the server off a comcast cable connection....is this normal lag for not being hosted by another biller???

What version of Windows are you running? If it is 2000/XP, check out the Task Manager's performance tab. If CPU or RAM usage is exceptionally high, check the processes tab to see what's using it. Once you find out, post here and we'll try to help you out.

its the new zone im working on dm...Paintball CTF (im only hosting it from my house during development). Im not using windows 2000 or xp, im using a windows98.

Tell us if system resources spike at the time it happens. Start->Promgrams->Accessories->System Tools should have some usable stuff for you.
