Only reason i can think of is that the scores become too large. A c++ integer only is 10 digit number; they could have used a larger variable but still there is a point where a score is too large. So scores are reset.
A 32 bit number is FFFF FFFF hex so do the math <3 |

Actually, the billing software does it automatically, because Priit was too lazy to do it manually. And, each zone has the choice it to not be part of it, but it is an opt-out method, not an opt-in. To my knowledge, I think only the leagues were opt-out, but then most combinded into other zones. |

You hope Priit is around, which is why every zone that wants it reset, goes with the 2-week auto method. |

Negative points, and consequently, negative bounties. |

Oh, ok. I thought 'neg' for you meant 'Lacking positive or constructive features', not negative points. That was removed from the client a long, long time ago. Priit wasn't even around then, so he never even played any zone in which the object was to get the lowest score.
Or to run into mines, lowering people's averages... muahahahah |

I do remember it was around mid iNET.
And I do believe it was pricktech who had done it.
Apperantly, he has been around longer than most realise, GS just took a lot of time to prepare the path for his "coronation" as the so called saviour of SS with continuedshit.
Eitherway, someone jipped subgame and/or biller to kill negs, and I want it back! |

So you're telling me the sysop's to SSC don't have biller access to reset their zone's scores?? thats a bummer... |

In asss there is a command to reset the scores (I saw bomook trying to host an event without knowing the command, kept changing arena to get 0 points all round). But I think the billing modules can also accept signals from the biller to do a scorereset. |

I know subgame + catid's biller, maybe its only for NetOp Level 0 though; so I know it's possible to send a command to a biller, and have it reset :/ _________________ Performance is often the art of cheating carefully. - James Gosling |

That is only because ASSS keeps the scores local, which makes more sense now-a-days with zones not having standard settings. |
