I'll be visiting my site rarely for the next week or so, a part due to school, and a part due to a power supply.
My life's motto is "If it isn't broken, fix it till it is." My computer finally was fixed too much. Had a power supply running on the brink of extinction for the past 8 months. Last Saturday night, it finally gave. Sadly, when a power supply pops, it likes to take out atleast one piece of equipment with it. Sunday, I bought a Sonata, which I was thinking of buying the weekend before when visiting my brother. Very nice case. Anyways, hook all my pieces up, to find that the other part it took out (already tested hard drives in another computer) was the motherboard. As it was a 1.4ghz Athlon from two years ago, it wasn't too much of a loss. So I ordered an ABIT NF7-S and a Barton 2500+, which I was thinking of upgrading to a month ago. Easily overclocking to 3200+ levels, maybe higher, though I doubt I would want to. Going from leave-blower previous case/power supply/cpu fans to a ultra quiet Sonata.
So anyways, I'll be without a 'main' computer for a few days. Also have a big ass Matrices report due this Friday, and a few post-lab write-ups I still havn't done. But there are plenty of über geeks roaming these boards you'll not even notice my lack of help.
Until I get my next computer up and running, I'll be working off my Nintendo computer, a 1ghz mini-itx system designed to run inside a gutted out NES case I still havn't finished. Its pretty good, but it sort of lacks in its ability to do more than one thing at a time, due to the 5400rpm 20gig notebook hard drive it runs off. But damn, even in the open air case I threw it into so I could use a computer, its damn quiet. Till then, fear my PC Mark 2004 benchmark scores.
