i thought of this recently after looking through the RFCs.
Wouldn't it be good if we had RFCs for Continuum?
Think about it and add to this thread what you think. It would be cool because you can add stuff to it and it can help all kinds of people like Zone delevopers, app coders and so on..
and before you ask what RFC is, its Request For Comments. its become the internet standards in a way _________________ Owner of CSAU Administration

i should have said lets make our own set of standards in a way, but this would be more like a standard set of guidelines. read the RFCs yourself (if u haven't already) then u might understand what i mean |

I totally agree there should be RFC documents about Continuum and Subspace protocols how everything established; heck they have IRC, POP3, IMAP, SMTP, and 100000001 other RFC files....
I thought RFC stood for something else but indeed much so, but try to get priitk to write one for ya lol meeh..
good luck - cyp |

There are plenty of open source bots that you can take the protccol from, if you are planning to make a bot yourself it shouldnt be too hard for you to figure it out from those soucres. |

you get what i mean, except i didn't mean add an RFC for subspace/continuum to the list of the current RFCs but more or less make our own set of RFCs for continuum (if you misssed it)
an example of an RFC we would have in the set, would be Mine's LVZ text file explaining the LVZ format. |

Basically a lot of stuff is available from shanky.com/server, protocol stuff from snrrrub.sscentral.com, and bot stuff from www.mervbot.com (and Catid for the source ). It's not really incorporated, but all we need is a page of links I guess. _________________ This help is informational only. No representation is made or warranty given as to its content. it probably wouldn't be worth the effort - as those that can really understand it all probably already know where all the info is
would be nice though
I've thought about doing it a few times (was screwing with a forum script for a knowledge base a few weeks ago) but it'd be so boring |

anyone can reply is fine for forums, but the information doesn't really need a bunch of people interpreting it differently |

ok about now i have to state what i mean, right?
RFC stands for Request For Comments. OK next thing, we should make our own RFCs for continnum. the RFCs will contain everything we know and it would be a centralized database of infomation for everything we know. so nether the less, its everything combined in to one package but the point people are missing is that people can still add stuff not yet included
If you have read the RFCs you'll know what i mean (in a way) |

is there something wrong with just calling it a knowledge base? |

click here for the RFCs i put them up on my dodgy server. they're only text files so there should be a prob transfering them
i think you people hav lost the subject a bit here.... but if we made an RFC database for continuum would submit something? and would you want an RFC database? |

I ant believe none of you know what an RFC is. RFC is like a doc, organized by number. For example theres an RFC simply on TCP structure, TFTP, and many many useless things. (theres even and RFC on RFCs). Simply refer to RFCs as a series of documents.
About microsoft: Ownership, rights, creation, and earned aility for any of those are totally unrelated. Microsoft knows that they dont have to make something in order to sue others to claim it as their own. _________________ There are no stupid question, but there are many inquisitive idiots.

What about just making a wiki of links? People can add new links and remove broken ones. Anyone could add a page describing a subject in more depth (if they can be bothered). |
