Go look at any news site. China is now the third nation to enter space.
Big deal? Who cares? I think it is interesting, and actually may help NASA in the end. |

Have you ever read any Marx? If you do, I think you will realize, if you think open-mindedly, that communism is the best form of government out there.
Americans and other capitalists need to get over the propaganda fed to them by their governments and realize that capitalism is, basically, barbaric. It supports survival of the fittest. I think we, as humans, should've gotten over that way of life shortly after the caveman days, and definitely before where we are now. _________________ This help is informational only. Yes, but practically, capitalism is very easy to impliment with only little government involvement compared to others. Communism works great in theory, but horrible in practice. It requires too much that the governing body is not corrupt, something that has yet to happen in the history of man. |

I agree with you both mostly
just saying that it doesn't matter what government runs the country you live in (or are born in) - you have half a brain and you'll be fine |

It has nothing to do with the government's corruptability, and everything to do with lowest common denominator. If a doctor gets paid the same as a janitor, why should the doctor work hard? And after that, everything goes downhill. |

in a perfect communist society everyone is equal - nobody lives in squalor, everyone lives well - there is no such thing as personal profit
therefore jobs (like being a doctor) are reduced to being simply what they should be - a qualified person doing something they enjoy
probably not too many people would want to be a janitor, but that is not necessarily a problem - people can clean their own areas - people can take turns being a "janitor" - for the common good, you see, not for money
the problem in many so-called "communist" societies is that there IS a government, it IS corrupted and the society is in fact NOT communist at all
don't confuse what many people have called governments of some countries with what communism truly is |

Im indirectly from China. (I'm from Taiwan which used to be part of China) This question is kinda offensive. But I have to go on someone's side. So I go with the "Communism is Bad" side. I don't like communism. And also..... I thought China was free from Communism..... _________________ Nismo Skyline's da bomb!! |

China is still "communist" - not that it's perfect communism
Taiwan is (according to an agreement between the USA and China) a rogue state of China
it should, of course, be left alone as its own nation, as should Tibet...for some reason the Chinese get really insulted at the idea of people they have very little in common with having their own state |

They have been doing better now, allowing some trade into the country. They are still holding the yen artificially high, which will hurt them in the future, but benefiting them in current trades greatly. |

I've heard many stories of foreign [to China] people who visit China and are surprised to see the luxury and freedom they have there. I'm sure someone could run a server from China if they wanted to, but I bet a lot of Chinese are not very intereseted in this, as they have a very different life.
I've never been to China but I have read books on China and its people, so that's what I'm basing this on. |
