would it be possible (w/ ASSS) to control the direction the powerball travels when p.ball_carrier time runs out?
as in, always shoots off in the direction they player is facing

Yes, the server can just forwarded a lied position packet of the ball, but it would look ackward, since those who watch the throw would see it jump from behind to forward, but maybe not too bad as you can put both packets right after each other. But for the person who shot the ball, it would look REALLY ackward, as it was originally flying backwards, but then the server 'corrects' him by telling him the ball is now going in front.
It would be better if the client supported this natively. |

is there anywhere i might reference "sending a false packet"? i realize that you're basically telling me its a bad idea, but for the idea behind it it, very much worthwhile and id like to try. |

Find where the ball position packets are handled, and add a little hack in there for when a ball is first shot, see if its a backwards shot (not sure how you'll test for this easily). If it is, just multiply both x and y speeds by -1, and that will make it go the opposite way. |
