Game server is what you play in (a.k.a. a zone). Billing server holds passwords and scores for the game servers. If more than one game server is connected, the biller will allow players to chat between the zones.
Hope that helps. _________________ Hyperspace Owner

| A way you can think of it is like this: All the clients (Continuum players) are like web browsers. Each of them connect to a website (Subgame) which tells each one what to show, what to do, and other information. It links everyone with everyone else. The Billing Server is like a database behind it. You never actually "see" it, but its there holding all the long term data that needs to be stored. Just like different pages of a website connect to the same database for information, different zones connect to the same billing server for scores. It also lets different zones talk to each other if need be. |

| Is it possible to use a third-party billing service and just run the zone (subgame2) from your home computer? I wouldn't mind just keeping subgame2 running constantly, the only problem is the biller takes too much CPU. Thanks in advance. |
