... the car in front of me had a vanity plate, "CATID". Could it have been the MERVBOT creator?
He turned down towards downtown Mountain View right where I worked, and parked one block over from where I usually parked.
So I followed him into the parking lot and after he got out of his car, I walked up to him and asked, "Hey, are you a SubSpace player?"
He was! |

At every company I've worked, I've always used minegoboom as my username. A few times I've had random coworkers see it in bug reports or whatever and are like "Are you that Mine GO BOOM?", and it leads to cool little discussions. Most of the time it is people asking how I got a vanity username or what does it mean. Sadly, most people just don't know Subspace much. It was a quirky little gaming community a long time ago. |
