Server Help

My computer wont allow connection from the internet to play the game. I can run subgame2.exe but it wont connect to subbill.exe. Nor will it appear on the zone lists. The only way i can run it is through the "Custom Zone" button in the zone menu and typing the name and 127.0.0.1.

Is there anyone who can host my zone?
It is based off of Command and Conquer.

sorry i forgot to register before i put the post.

Style of gameplay is a CTF style game. you have the 2 sides, GDI and NOD and there are also symmetrical bases.

If you don't bother hosting your own zone for a while you may be able to.
There might be a way to get subgame to work because you probably have made a few mistakes in the INI configuration files.

Otherwise, read this thread or contact people who host here.

I didn't check the link, but what's with the "tkheaven.com"? Is your zone about teamkilling?

no its not. i just like team killing. i think its funny when it happens accidentally. On some games, its even funnier when its extremely hard to do it

I did it on purpose, just because it was allowed.
It was to annoy other players, and when I became a member of the staff I thought it was funny how helpless newbies started to report me and a bot giving them a reply like "Teamkilling is legal in this zone.".

so do you know anyone/any server who is connected to the central player database (preferably) that could host my zone.

I dont know if i mentioned this, i talked to my dad who runs my network, and he won't allow me to accept outside connections for fear that they could hack into his computer. (He works for the government, what he does at home, i dont know. But now you know why)

also i want to know what is easier to run. ASSS or subgame?
I tried asss but i was extremely confused on how to use it.

Getting your zone hosted by an ASSS server probably is harder than getting a Subgame one, but well, if you find one you won't have to worry about the server setup anyway.

I don't care about your dad's job, but if he really needs network security that bad you just shouldn't tell about it.

You won't get your zone connected to the "central player database" before your zone's worth being connected to it (which is a decision to be made by the admins of it).

He doesnt need network security.

I dont know if they understand that is is hard or almost impossible to access any more of the computer than what is in the server folder.

and i would need help setting it up.
