I remember a while back a zone called Mystic Kingdom had a bot that took damage. Is there a place I could get such a bot?

One thing I remember about this bot is you actually only had to shoot in its direction and be close enough. If the weapon hit something else between you and him, he would still take damage.
If that's a problem for you, you might need to switch to ASSS, which has proper modules for these kinds of things.

Bjorn's AI bot handles damage, you could always modify it to fit your needs, not sure how well that would work.
