Having trouble logging smods in. The names are in smod.txt, and they get no power. If they login with the smod pass only, they get an invalid password. I have check smod set to 1 in server.ini, and am completely lost... _________________

well, they HAVE TO either type "*smodpw" in-game or append their profile's password with it
make sure they're typing what you put for smodpw in [password] section of server.ini |

He appended his profile and said it didnt work . I'll just change the smod pass to something shorter and try again. |

here's an example
let's say my nick is "crazy_funkmaster" (just for kicks )
in my profile, my password is "funktastic"
the smod password for the zone "SSI Funk-o-tron" is "funkysmod"
I am a smod in this zone
so, in my profile, my password should be changed to "funktastic*funkysmod"
[do not use the quotes, of course, they are merely to separate things that should be followed exactly]
also, don't use any strange characters in your passwords, keep it alphanumeric |

I know you can assign different powers (like ER>'s in many zones) but I'm not sure how many different times you can do that and whether or not they can be identical
wait for someone else to answer |

| You can assign different levels of power to your mods in the moderate.txt but as far as I am aware you can only have one mod pw. Having one pw for each mod would, as with a lot of things, require the game coding to be altered. |
