That's what you get for buying console gaming systems. Just stick with your computer. There are a lot of games you can play on the pc, online infact. I will never go spend money on consoles that will be outdated really soon, I can upgrade my computer for years to come.

Saying that the PS3 sucks implies that you have played it before.

Which further implies that either:
(a) You spent 600 dollars on a game console and therefore are an idiot.
(b) You have an idiot friend who bought a PS3 for 600 dollars and let you play it, making you an idiot by association.

Either way Quan Chi loses.

Well I played it too many times. The controller doesn't even have rumble pack. The motion sensor is laggy as hell. Gfx are nice but thats pretty much it..

I've never cared about rumble. And from Wii Sports, I haven't been impressed with the sensitivity of the Wiimote, either.

It's sensitive enough, just the detection algorithm isn't quite perfect yet.

Are you that uncertain about your purchase that you need to justify it by convincing yourself that the competing products are worse? Buyer's remorse is a bitch.

I personally plan on getting both. I'm an RPG nerd, so I go where S/E goes. Wiisports looks fun as hell and appears to be a great way to get exercise at roughly the same price as replacing/fixing my treadmill.

I only wish I had a fancy TV like my parents. The PS3 won't look all that great on a 10-year old 27" pos TV.

Wii Sports is not a great way to exercise. I don't even consider DDR exercise, although I probably should since it wears me out. I used to make fun of my friends for breaking a sweat playing DDR, but then I started playing 8 footers. >_> Although, they were doing like 3 footers, so I guess it was still deserved.

And I doubt Square-Enix will stay on PS3 long. They DON'T need the extra power the PS3 offers, and a lot of their fans aren't going to have PS3s... besides, I think RPGs could actually benefit from the Wiimote. They only ever used one or two buttons anyway, and lots of them have minigames that they might be able to utilize the Wiimote for. And unlike Zelda, motions might work for a turn based battle system. (I'm thinking along the lines of... what was it, Feel The Magic? Or Lost Magic? Some RPG for the DS)

I'm detecting a lot of fanboyism in everyone's replys. You gotta let that shit go and realize that the ultimate goal is to enjoy yourself while you're using whichever machine you purchased.

I'm aware that the Wii will not be the end-all solution to my desire to not get fat, but it does provide a temporary solution until spring/summer rolls around again and I can join various bar softball teams or what have you. Plus, as I already stated above, buying a Wii will be less than the cost of a new tredmill and I don't have to deal with finding a place for it.

Secondly, S/E (or ANY company for that matter) doesn't go to/stay with a system based entirely on the power of the system. They'll go wherever they can have a high install base as it gives them a much better likelyhood for software sales. However, that doesn't mean they're not going to use something like the PS3 to show off their abilities. Have you seen FFXIII or their FF7 tech demo? S/E is good at what they do and the 360 or PS3 will be a much better platform for them to show off their graphical prowess than the Wii. So, while nobody may *need* the power the PS3 (or 360) offers, they will certainly use it.
