I've always wanted bombs that face the direction you fire them. I thought about doing this with .lvzs and a bot... but it gave me a headache.

I would like to use ASSS's new feature of moving .lvz objects and place one over the bomb. Is there a way for the server to track the bomb's x, y, and possibly direction?

In theory, yes but it would require massive amounts of work. For the record, it's not a new feature.

Well ?moveobj is ALOT easier then doing it with bots. icon_wink.gif

Could I take the player's x, y, velosity, rotation, and bomb speed and, when the player fires a bomb, calculate the bomb's location?

Why not just enable bomb trails?

Well gerbils, the thing about that...lets say you wanted the bomb image to be an arrow or a missile. When you shoot downward the image will be horizontal.

Code: Show/Hide

                Ship  ----->
               -----
                 v

Gonna look like that.

Hmm... I was thinking DS had a Missile that pointed in a certain direction, I never noticed it didn't go in the direction you pointed it.
