Complete newbie question here, sorry. Someone created a java applet for ASSS in another thread and I was reading the FAQ for it, it says all you need is java and an installation of ASSS and it gives two links to get them, well when you click on the link to get java, it brings up the Sun website, but there is so much on there, I don't know what exactly I need to download, JSE5, Sun Java Studio Creator, and the list goes on...sorry for the newb question but I just don't really know anything about java.

Feel free to lock this thread or delete it...I went into all of them and figured out the JSE5 is the one I needed. Or atleast I think it is.

You need the SDK. J2SE SDK. At least I think that's the one.

Ok, so I downloaded the correct Java program, got it running. Do I put my own IP address in for "server IP:" in the naap program? What do I put in for score ID and group ID? Thanks!

You don't need the SDK/JDK, just the runtime. This page http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp "JRE 5.0 Update 6". It doesn't matter if you have already installed the JDK, it just takes up a bit more space if you don't intend to write your own programs.

On the billing tab you would enter the biller's IP and port. For Score ID (and Server ID) it is recomended to use the same number as the zone's port. For Group ID just put 1.

Enter the biller's port. If you are running them on the same computer make sure the biller (billing tab) and zone (basic tab) ports are different, also you can use 127.0.0.1 for the IP.
