I try to never delete posts, even if they are deemed crap unless it is blatent spam for penis enhancement or something to promote a site on search engines or lure people into a trap.

It was just a simple SQL statement I ran. Re-counted everyone's posts, ignoring the Announcement forum, and using Trash Talk as a -1/4 counter instead of +1.

I think we need a 'Tech discussion' forum seperate from Trash Talk now though, or change the purpose(/name) of the Non-Subspace Related Coding forum.
Or are we supposed to have threads like these in General Questions? The subtitle doesn't say so.

I think such topics aren't really Trash Talk and therefore shouldn't be in that forum section and shouldn't decrease postcount.

I agree with solo, but I don't see any reason to remove post counts in trash talk. Splitting the forum would only lead to the degradation of the entire board. The "cool" people would stop posting in trash talk, so the newbies would start posting elsewhere to get the attention they seek.
