i think phpbb has an auto close feature that closes threads after they've reached a certain age...

Yes, it is called "pruning". However MGB hasn't enabled it apparently seeing as how there was recently a topic brought up from over a year ago.

I guess I don't see what the problem is with bumping old topics. So they're kinda useless; big deal. I mean, they probably get in the way, but this forum is as busy as it once was in its' prime. Are your eyes really that lazy that you can't look around the useless topics?

How about an option to auto-ignore topics after x days? (EDIT: I should have read the whole topic. We should just put the close after x days option into effect. If not, then use my idea. sa_tongue.gif )

And besides, I think there's only two people who actually find this annoying...
