Yes, SSC only accepts certain zones. SSI, however, has given me my own group with which I can do whatever I want. Sounds good to me. _________________ This help is informational only. In order to get SSC billing on your server you need to run a quality server in a real data center, be liked by at least some of the SSC so they can vouch for you and have quality zones that attract players on your server to warrant the SSC access.
That's pretty much how it goes. SSI didn't start out with SSC access. We earned it. We've been running for over 2 years now and still going strong. |

I don't know how this got off topic O.O from SSDD Biller to SSC and SSI Biller But any ways I've decided a couple of things
Where going to have three servers and the billing server
BDS Billing -Billing server
SSDD -For High class themed zones and bot sub games
SSDD-A -Our ASSS Server and runs off of SSDD (I've decided to make a asss since Purge has been anoying me about it latetly )
SSBT -Average zone Server open to the public for any zone
SSSC -A Server for crapy zones must be themed and have no bots
I think I have pretty much every thing moved about and we're ready to set the servers up if I can get KFT to get multible connections. |

Yea, I think it's pretty retarded to have 4 "servers". Are any of these actually run off a decent box or are they all dsl/cable connections? If so, I'd quit while you're ahead. |

Why have different names? It makes no sense, plus it'll only confuse people in the end. Make one server name and stick to it. A T1 is decent however you realize it's really not all that fast right? It's 1.5 mbps up/down which is a good start but I wouldn't put too many players on it.
Don't forget redundancy. What kind of back up do you have on it? If the power goes out will that T1 still be running? Is it in a server environment or can mom come along and accidently hit the power button while she's cleaning?
Also, where is the server located? Location plays a big part in it. You want to make sure that people around the US get good routing to the server too. Europe is to be taking into consideration as well, however the europeans are in the minority in this game. Sorry to all you euros out there
There's a lot to consider before just throwing up a server. |

As 1stStrike suggested, it's pretty pointless having a different server name for every one of your hard drives.
A single T1 connection may be sufficient for small, undeveloped zones, but you'll run into problems if or when those zones of yours grow.
Also, when talking about redundancy, it's a good idea to have a redundant connection aswell, from two or more different providers. Just in case one dies off, you always have a fail over connection.
Just a few pointers.
Good Luck,

I don't know how KFT found this since he dosen't even know what subspace is (I hope he wasn't looking at my Web history ) but anyways we will have back up conections other then T1 and I probly will get something better then T1. And I don't think mom O.o will be cleaning my house if for some reason she decides to come over and clean randomly we have a back up power supplie out of reach unless she decides to rip open the basment walls and dose something . We are located in NE Ohio around Canton/Akron if you live in Ohio. So if your located in NY no worrys and for europe it's I guess close to to it :\ commpaired to Somewhere like Calafornia. And the reson we have more then one server is to keep lag to a min and if a couple of newbs or noobs (blah-er) have bad thoughts about a certain one of our zones they will still go to one of our other servers. I just really useing more then one because we have like 15 servers and I'm just useing it as a excuse to get one of them running. Like I said too we have sat and We have Road runner too and if all eles fails for our last resort We'll put them up on our 56K . Which I don't see happening since I have alot of staff who has brodband . |

Satellite and RoadRunner are not good for hosting zones. And the stuff about your mom sweeping stuff out - how will we know that your server is 100% reliable and has limited downtime? |

I won't go to that host since purge isn't even around any more for his own server. If you want a good host . I'll have the website for apply as soon as I get the continuum server up. |

What are you talking about? SSR is still alive and is recovering from their public downfall that Confess+ caused a while back. |

If you didn't know, I quit SSR a while back. I'm also Smod in Halo now, so I'm active enough there. |
