As we know, there's tons of squads that are created by a user and in many chases the owner is in another squad. Many users also owns many squads, but don't know it, because they think as I first did, that if you join or create a new one, the old will be dissolved. But this is not. If u create or join a new squad u'll still own the old ones. That's why, making a new squad isn't so easy. I'm posting this because I want to do a new squad, but the name(s) I'd want it to be is already taken, and in all the squad names that are taken, the user is in another squad. So here comes an idea:
How about, making squads active in 1) Whole Subspace (all servers) or zone-specific? Most squads are based in just one zone.
Also, how about dissolving a squad if it haven't got any members active in let's say a month? That'll dissolve many inactive squads.
So think about this. I hope this makes any sence so I can get the squadname that I want (and that's one who's inactive right now).

SSC biller / SSC biller development / SSC Council stuff which are known to not change stuff like this that should be changed.
I would suggest a ?listsquads aswell (see the squads you own)

True, but some people actually prefer to have their old squad not dissolved.

It's not as if we're running out of possible squad names *. Having a squadname get grabbed by a new owner and used for a different squad would be confusing.

* (Except for those people who validate their leetness by having a squadname that is a short word from a dictionary or pokémon deck.)

"squadowner" Not online, last seen more than 10 days ago - : Keep trying, he will never come online, his name won't expire for 5 years and keep owning a whole line of 30 squadnames?
This is the scenario what happens the most.
Also, if the squadowner is online, most of the time he wouldn't want to give you the squad simply because you want it.

Thats the reason behind Ken's post.
