				|
 |
				| Im running a bot or two without any powers in chaos, which works fine since theyre on VIP, but they still generate the sysop warnings about checksum failures. The bot isnt kicked or anything, its just annoying to see the warnings every couple minutes
I know the core doesnt respond with correct checksums, but I assumed since the bot was VIP the server wouldnt care enough to even generate the warnings... guess I was wrong.

I browsed server.ini but didnt see anything in particular... theres something im missing here, and Im sure one of you guys knows...

 Thanks
 -C

				| So make it respond with the correct checksums. It's not that much code. _________________

				| no, but it means I need the level, settings and subspace.bin on hand (unless I hijack catid's fileless checksum).
Then I need to either figure out the calc myself or get the code from someone else and implement it. Work Id rather not do since any bot needs atleast VIP anyway. Its extra work and resources for little to no gain.

				| You're using a twcore variant if I remember correctly? I dunno, I can talk to some people about it though _________________

Its either that, or hack subgame so it won't print sysop warnings from a specific IP address/username.

				| TWcore doesn't do security checksums, because it doesn't download the map, etc. It does do packet checksums [duh]. _________________

				| Im not using the TWCore or a variant =(
Yeah, it seems Im going to have to add it in afterall... which ranks somewhere just below documentation on the 'shit id rather not do' list.

Was hoping it was a server setting... oh well. Thanks though.

				| I've been trying to do the same; but haven't had much time to work w/ it since winter break is over. So, if you get it done, you let me know, would you? | |
