Illegal Spider weapon: Prox L3 bomb with 0 bouncing L3 shrap (name)(1349739505)(ip)(sec=1327)

Can someone please explain to me how to fix my config that it won't do this anymore. It occurs whenever non SMOD/SYSOP (obviously) is prized prox.

I would greatly appreciate it, thanks.

Okay, I have it set = 1 now. I really don't want them able to green it. However, even after doing that someone got kicked off:

Illegal Warbird weapon: Prox L2 bomb with 0 bouncing L1 shrap

After I had changed the config... I don't know if they picked up a prox green or not.

Hmm this is very odd because that usally happens when you give someone super and theyarent sysop. But this is just normal ships.. I dont get it icon_confused.gif

Now, I don't want to get yelled at for bumping a topic, but I have a problem.

I am having the same problem that Cypher had:

Illegal Weasel weapon: L3 bomb with 4 bouncing L3 shrap (name)(1356127853)(ip)(sec=412)

I didn't prize anyone anything, and I had it in my other zone without any problems.

So what can I do to fix this?

Try lowering the PrizeWeight of the "illegal" weapons.

Assuming it's a shrap level problem, I think this can be one of two things. A glitch in subgame when it checks for illegal weapons, or a cheater. If it's the former then you can fix it by setting Weasel's max shrap to 0.

im haveing the same problem... when someone pics a flag it say
Illegal Spider weapon: Bouncing L4 bullet (edit: SuSE)
how can i fix that?

nm i fixed it... i changed my settings without *recycle so i think it was getting confused... cause when i recycled it it worked...

The alerts are triggered when a player uses an item that exceeds the ship's max limit (which you all know already) If the problem were common, check you initial ship settings. If a ship is set to start with L4 bullets but is assigned a max of L3, the clearly somethign is in conflict. Check all your initial and max values, make sure they are proper. Prizeweight of 0 should not be problem (as long as every prize is not set to 0) if a ship is set to start with an item, though be careful of item loss due to damage or players will get mad if they cant regreen it. If possible, avoid 0s, subgame hates them.

Illegal kicks due to super are easy to fix. When a player is given *super, they are maxed out on everything, meaning they of course get things they shouldnt. Change the player's ship and the player will simply have the speed, firerate, etc advantages of super without the higher weapons levels or invalid items.

Also would someone edit ye4r.'s ip out of that post please?

Checking for illegal weapons and other bad settings would be a good addition to xor eax's SubSet, eh?
