I don't understand any reasons, why you can't support pre-releases.
Especially since the competing software, subgame, does.
edit: rotfl wtf am i kiddin, a competing software.. lol.. well okay it is.. but.. haha..anyways... _________________ Performance is often the art of cheating carefully. - James Gosling |

If it could people wouldn't have to install Linux, but just run Knoppix for their ASSS needs (yes, that sounds wrong, I know). |
I have the Knoppix on CD, that is how I was able to run things on my computer while my HD had crashed; $$. Saved me big time; downside I couldn't write/save any data... but I was able to get Chatnet to work, so I was able to talk to my SSC peeps.
Well, without having a job, and majorly in debt, oops , I can't afford a machine right now. But my grandma has told me she'd give me her old 300 mhz machine, 4 gig HD lol.. when she decided to get a new computer. lol.. who knows when that'll be but anyways... meh.. windows is for now.. |

So you don't want to pay for linux because 'you can get it for free' yet you don't want to download on a 56k? Looks like you've dug yourself into a hole. I first tried linux and asss on DSL 0.4.4 (the newer versions use syslinux so don't load on old computers) www.damnsmalllinux.org 50mb live cd.
ctmxxpr support:
If any zone wanted to let that it, they can do the mod themselves, it's not that hard.
For non-scc biller, I want to see it work with subill from server.zip. After all that is what all the other billers were reverse engineered from. On a side note I've already started work on a set of userdb modules that can be plugged into asss.
For windows compiler I would go with mingw too, as that is what the dev-cpp IDE comes with. Please don't go with the MS 2003/.NET stuff, I don't want to bog down my windows comp with loads of ms sdk's and shrap. |

All I know is there is a biller protocol; so they should all act the same 'cept for SSC.
I could never get much to compile w/ DevCpp :/ |

I have a feeling PriitK doesn't want to make an official release consisting only of bugfixes (which is what such a release at this point would be).
May as well encourage him to do so, though. |

Well I talked to swift, because of the note about Priit began talkin w/ the SSC or w/e; and he told me priit has no immediate development plans for Continuum..
So I honestly doubt, even bugging him, won't do anything.. but there again I could be wrong but.. w/e...
All I know out of the 3 different topic e-mails I've sent him, I've gotten no responce.. :/ so w.e |

i checked out the prize thing. i'm pretty sure asss is sending the correct packet for the ?prize -x case, and it's cont that's getting confused by it. are you sure ?prize -x works with subgame/cont? |

With subgame:
<< *prize -10
>> "Granting prize(s)"
No visable effect..
But make sure ?prize #-14, etc work; severe engine shut down, "negative" prizes... etc etc. |

Cyph, I thought I told you I made a win32 version for it? Gimme a msg and I'll send it to ya.
Ah well, I'll make it available here: http://members.home.nl/nerusai/asss_win32.rar
Cat will probably upload it to his space as well soon, send it to him a few hours ago; I used his project files and updated, moved and patched grel's recent 1.2.0 release into it. |
