I'm using a SMC 7004ABR broadband router and can't get a LAN connection. I've open port and port +1 (UDP). Another party is trying to connect to the right port. Now, when he download the zones, he sees mine but it looks downed.
I'm not sure if i opened the "right" ports though that's about the only thing i'm uncertain of. I looked through SME site but it's not much help...
If someone here knows how SME router works or what a "port windows" look alike (standard) i'd appreciate the help.

There are two things you can check:
See if your default gateway is the router's internal IP, and see if your zone on the zone list has the router's external IP.
If either of these are not true then there is another router/firewall/gateway somewhere in your system.
Also make sure that the ports you opened point to the ss server's IP. Thats about all I can think of. _________________ Hyperspace Owner

now he sees me but can't connect ...the zone is up but protected or something...  |
