Server Help

Well,

DSB has been having a hard time figuring this, since we had an old server.

Now after we've updated the server to a newer version (1.34.14a) the +name:arenaname in moderate.txt still doesn't work.

Can anyone let me know the new code to make it work?

I need the new command for the server version i mentiond earlier...

would some of the mods answer this?

First of all these "things" you're asking about are not commands, they're settings.

To give me powers in only the subarena "elim":

Code: Show/Hide

Solo Ace
+Solo Ace:elim

and I guess that's the format you use.

There is no new way of doing it, the format you are using is the right format, if it doesn't work the problem is somewhere else, not in moderate.txt.

Why are you assuming there is a new "command"? Just because it's a new subgame version?

Don't "sigh" me, if you think I didn't understand you then calm down and stop being so vague about your problem.

Telling us "it doesn't work" is way too vague.
Of course it doesn't work, that's why you're asking here.

Tell him he isn't supposed to be a sysop in a zone if he can't fix a simple problem like this on subgame, that's all.

Isn't the latest version 1.34.14g? I seem to remember a g or f somewhere, maybe that was on x.x.13.x. Anyway...

Dont ask me. Also I do not have access to the server.ini

But there doesnt seem to be anything out of order. But for some odd reason the command to designate powers does not work

We recently had an update, and I guess our server administrator was just busy I suppose. But that's in the past, now our server is up to date. Certain problems from the old server were able to be fixed, such as teams now not being able to switch freqs with *lock enabled. Before players were able to. (That's just a taste to show you how old the old server was before)

In other zones. When validation was off. The specific arena powers always worked. None of the mods had to put in the mod password to gain their powers or anything. They just had them when logging in.

So I'm rather sure validation isnt it.

Set the arena type to 5 and make sure moderator validation is enabled. its all in the faq on shanky.com/server
