when i try to run asss on my machine, i get the following error:
bin/asss: /lib/1686/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.3' not found (required by bin/asss)
the machine is running red hat linux 7.3
i am fairly new to linux and i dont quite understand what the problem is or how to fix it. could it be fixed by replacing the file libc.so.6 with a newer version? i've searched for that file and cant seem to find it anywhere. any help appreciated. |

Simply stated, the binaries are compiled against the GNU libc (C library) version 2.3. If you do not have this version on your system, you will need to compile ASSS yourself (which is generally easier than upgrading your c lib, if you're new). |
