After seeing his name in the color of MGB's, it took me a mintue to put together that it can't be true. So please reasure me its not true MGB

Yes it is true. MGB let a forum spammer on his forum become an admin after he evaded his forum ban.

You don't ask MGB to do something like that for you, only if you seriously need assistance.

Anyway, (for anyone who cares) I got a perfectly fine external hard drive ruined today.

I got it in 2002, an Iomega External USB2.0 hard drive, with an IBM Deskstar (more like DeathStar) in it.

I don't know how, but for some reason one of my hardware components was being affected by the power taken by the lights in this part of the house.
Now I don't seem to have any trouble with any hardware anymore, because I can actually turn off/on the lights in the bathroom without hearing a "hardware disconnected, hardware connected" sound sequence.

The windows box it was connected to didn't recognise the drive anymore, none of the computers here did. Even dmesg in Linux didn't give any output, so I took the conclusion the USB interface of the drive was ruined.

As there's an IDE drive in it I'll just put it in my main Windows box, heh. Oh well, I guess having so much USB components sucks anyway. I hope the data's still readable as it's one my drive with old photos on it.

can i have a color i mean im an official cap buster? thats a very hard job to keep up i mean i already busted 10 caps in some ones ass yesterday and 2 today so i desserve a color
