Trash Talk - For Ori

Katie - Tue Oct 18, 2005 11:15 pm
Post subject: For Ori
Why, instead of declaring your official MGBF resignition, didn't you just tell everyone you were going to change your name? You never really left, and you're still pretty active (redundancy not intentional). So, to have an actual point to this topic, I declare mine. (again)

Farewell.

So you're changing your name from Katie now?

I'm not sure exctly what this about exactly (this is when being a newb rules 0.o)

Agreed Katie.
What's the point in making up a stupid speech about how "Gravitron was ushered"?!

Nobody really does care.
Ori Klein - Wed Oct 19, 2005 1:18 pm
Post subject:
If you stopped and read, and comment, you cared.
To some extent or capacity, otherwise you wouldn't even stop, not to mention read, or even comment.

Katie sweety, I think you misunderstood.
I did not resign from server help forums (although I once had a fight with mine go boom and was booted from modding the forums, but that is an entirely different story).
I had no such an intention of leaving (this time, anyway).
That post was a burial ceremony of sorts for Gravitron, as my representitive, my entity on the internet.
Gravitron is a part of me, was an era of my life.
-I- was never Gravitron, no more than a circuit or a cog being the machine.
It was no mere name change.
Gravitron, the zealotish subspace vet is done&gone with.
Eventually, he will be replaced by another.
-I-, myself, always were and will continue to be around (or behind the curtain), for as long as I live.

Naturally, when I (Ori Klein) die, all else will die along as well.

*kissie*

You need a life Gravitron/Ori.
I'm sure some other people on the forum would agree with me on this.

I didn't expect you to say anything Spyed.

This also proves how you don't read posts properly.

@newb: agreed++; (Just bugging MGB to make this.)

You know, SMF has this nice thing called karma where you can approve/disapprove of posts, then giving the user a total karma rating. I think you should switch to SMF, MGB.
newb - Wed Oct 19, 2005 3:56 pm
Post subject:
No, SMF sucks. Trust me. It's slow, and it's a bitch to work out how to set things straight there. You wouldn't like it.

Karma will just be abused by idiots anyway.

Idiots would abuse that so fast, there is no need to point out the names of the abusers as it is already well-known who would abuse it.

I found a picture of Grav.

Yet Brutus says he was ambitious;
And, sure, he is an honourable man.
I speak not to disprove what Brutus spoke,
But here I am to speak what I do know.
You all did love him once, not without cause:
What cause withholds you then, to mourn for him?
O judgment! thou art fled to brutish beasts,
And men have lost their reason. Bear with me;
My heart is in the coffin there with Caesar,
And I must pause till it come back to me.

I was tempted, I pressed the link, I saw the message of the ignored.
Good call intuition, no trash talk or otherwise.

Reminds me this scene which parodied that famous sentence in Robin Hood : men in tights.
Throughout the rest of the entire scene untill they finished the shot he kept speaking while one of the fake ears was jammed between the folds of his shirt in the torso and his crossbow quiver strap.
More hillarious than the actual speeches.

*plucks his ear and throws it at dr brain*

I fail to understand why.

In my experience, it's faster, has more features, and is coded better (requires php4 instead of doing all this backwards-compatibility crap that chokes up phpbb).

I believe those kind of forums don't have a user ignore feature.
They all copy from the vbulletin/UBB system which lacks this option by default.
So unless someone take the time to understand how to add a module to them and assuming someone made such a module, you can't ignore someone.

Well phpbb doesn't have one built in either.
