My parents just upgraded to 3mb/sec charter cable... and we got 750 more channels too... CTM took me something like less than a second to download...

3 mb/s is slow now. Everyone's going to 5 mb/s or higher.

That's pretty cool, but the internet itself is still so friggin' slow. (But since my computer crashed, I haven't installed flash and MAN has that helped.)

For Mozilla Suite I use 'Ad-block', what MGB posted about before. You can choose to disable animations, etc.

I use roadrunner and we are supposed to be running at 5megs downstream... im clocking at 4972kbps

planning to call them to see how much more it will cost to upgrade to there new plan "Road Runner Premium provides up to 8.0 Mbps of download speed and up to 512 Kbps upstream"

We're stuck w/ 56k at my location. Verizon was guessing it'd be 2010-2012 before any high speed inet would become available out here; but I doubt it.

That really sucks... I would move if I couldn't get something better then dialup or dsl lol

If only 1st hadn't have been mean, this would be a nice topic in the trash talk forum, but we can't ask for the world...

3mb/s is the fastest here in about a 50 mile radius. Charter gave it to us for like 30$/month since we've been doing business so long. They threw in the cable for free.

We have the cable(internet), cable phone, and the digital cable with dvr.... costing us like 200 a month but its nice. We have all the HBO's, Showtimes, and The Movie Channel's
