Post subject: Anyone Seen This Warning?
About 3 times now this has popped up.
The addy at the bottom gives it away.... Dont see microsoft using that as a addy for a bug fix.... and if you go to the addy all the downloads no matter which windows you run at the same... and they even have the word popup in it...... sounds fishy

Go into services and find "Messenger". Make sure it's dissabled. Go to www.zonelabs.com and pick up the free copy of zonealarm.

DO NOT VISIT THIS WEBSITE AND DO NOT BELIEVE IN POPUPS LIKE THIS IN FUTURE - THESE ARE FAKES CREATED BY ABUSING WINDOWS XP NEW NETWORK SERVICES AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MSN-MESSENGER!!
_
More Information:
If you visit websites like this you may get a dialer/trojan/virus installed (80% of those sites which advertise abusing this feature install dangerous code on your computer) or you might give the person who sent it direct access to your computer using port 80 (6% of those sites which advertise abusing this feature force direct access to your computer through port 80).

Im guessing you have winXP and i think this might solve it?

go to start->run
type services.msc and press ok
browse the list for a service call "Messanger"
double click it and a window will popup.
in the window there is a stop button, press it
there will also be a little box-pulldown menu that is labeled auto
set it to whatever makes it never startup when you boot your comp.

this might fix0r it

Post subject: It's an advertisment
It's simple.
It's not an real warning at all, it's just some damn advertisment. I had the same problem too a while ago and I fixed it. It WILL eventually go away but you can disable it also. If you have XP that is, I'll post again about how to disable it, or have you already fixed it? icon_biggrin.gif
