Post subject: Can't connect to my own server

Ok, heres the deal. I made a new zone. Name is called Strictly Elim

Its green with a ping and stuff. I can't connect to it tho, it says the "check if its red" message. It says theres 1 person in it tho.. I tried connecting a bot to it, but can't. Anyone got any solutions? Thanks.

Things to check:
a. Is the server connecting to the billing server?
b. Have you tried to change the server port?
c. Is the IP used to connect to the billing server the same as the one used to connect to the server itself?
d. Does the server display any messages in the log when you try to connect to it?

Things to try:
a. Change the server port! (My PC, for some reason, can't connect to the server at the port 13006, but it can at 13009...)
b. Use different IPs to the billing server and to the server itself. If you are using 127.0.0.1 in both of them, try changing the IP to the billing server to 'localhost'.

yeah

still wont work.. for some odd reason, when i try to open the zone now, my computer goes whacko and starts going really slow.. it's making "computing" noises..

U lil weasel!!

Why didnt u tell me u got a zone, i woulda helped... geez!! Ok anyway... like sum1 said, try messing around with the port #. Whenever i start up the billing and the subgame, it's all connected and stuff, but it's still red at the continuum window, so what i do is go to the zones list, remove my zone from it, then download a new list and add my zone to it. Works every time! I dunno why tf does it get green with some ping number after i do this, but without it - it doesnt.

I was able to get it green on my own, without port # changing but I still can't connect.. It says 1 player connected the second I put it up, what is going on???

If you screwed up your ini, you should probably grab a new one, and change only the settings you are sure you know you should.

Same problem, tho I noted the billing server said "Unknown Packet Type: 36"

It can only be 2 things or 3 lol

1. You changed something in the settings that needs to be fixed
If i were you i would make setting changes only if the zone is up and running.

2.Your running the server prog from you PC and not on its own server.
I bet you changed the IP# and port# on the server.ini?
If your running it from your PC use The IP# and Port# thats there all you need to change is the map name and add the staff p/w

3.Dont for get to tern on the biller
