Post subject: Bullet/bomb settings question

Is it possible for bullets to do the same damage no matter what the level, but take less energy when you go up a level? Can you do this with bombs also? (0 damage does not count!!).

make the BulletFireEnergyUpgrade whatever
There is an incremement setting for bullet damage in [Bullet]... set that to 0, though i dont know why that would help.

Bombs always do the same damage, but the prox, etc changes

Actually, I don't think there is a bullet energy upgrade setting. This is one of those things that should be there, so everyone thinks it is

So bullets can't be made to take less energy and the prox gets bigger for bombs. That means L3 bombs do "less" damage because they explode further away, right?

I think it's 2x fire energy for L2, 3x for L3, etc... I am not 100% on this as I never tested it.

[Bullet]
BulletDamageLevel=200
BulletDamageUpgrade=100

Set the BulletDamageLevel value to whatever you want L1 bullets to be. Since you want to go down in energy levels, try setting the BulletDamageUpgrade to a negative value, though i am unsure if priitk reads this as signed or unsigned.

NOTE: I was talking about firing energy, while everyone else was talking about damage. Yet another case of me not reading the post carfully.

Perhaps I've over looked it several times, but I don't see a bulletfireenergyupgrade=# setting anywhere either.

That's because there isn't one. Apparently each bullet level takes fire energy * bullet level. So L2 takes twice as much as L1, L3 three times as much. This also means Akai hasn't stated which post they weren't reading carefully.
