Trash Talk - Second Life

I would like to draw your attention to a game I stumbled across about a week ago called Second Life.

Its not really even a game, its more of a 3d environment...
in which you can create complex objects using simple objects (cube, cylinder, etc), and then bring them to life using scripts.

Its really the creation/scripting that attracts me to the game, and it might for you as well...

check it out for yourself,

Wow, where have you been. Second Life has had real companies build locations in there, people doing DoS with flying penises, college courses, virtual banks that even have enough time to collaspe and be banned. There have been tons of news articles that have been posted of it.

True that. I've never tried it, but it seems like a really neat open-ended concept. Still, a bit nerdy.

Yeah, quoted for emphasis. I mean Second Life and "THERE" have been around since before 2000 haven't then?

I've never tried out Second Life, but I always wanted to. I doubt it's anything I'd ever get addicted to, but I always liked the economical aspects of it. If I'd gotten into it much earlier, it probably would've even had the chance of being lucrative. Mostly, I REALLY like how the creators are pushing for digital rights, not just allowing people to sell in-game currency, but encouraging it. These guys are responsible for setting a precedent on so many things, though. They've gone a long way on promoting legal ownership, and I really respect them for that.
