It isn't Subspace or coding related, so that is what Trash Talk is for; everything else.

Sweet, xxyyyvSJ.dll was the virus. It conveniently made itself look like plain old malware. It made it so winlogon.exe and explorer.exe were dependant on the .dll. So, I couldnt delete it while logged into windows. After a day of letting it be, it decided it wanted to start deleting .sys files. Which made a couple of things fail to start. So, loaded the WinXp CD, went into the recovery console and deleted the file without logging into XP. Relogged into XP, and the computer kept rebooting itself with tons of "Kernel system files could not be found" and all that good stuff. Needed to completely reinstall windows...

You could just have booted into safe mode or console and replaced it with the original winlogon.exe and explorer.exe from the dllcache. Usually malware misses to infect these backups.
There's another cache of these files that is created with the sp2 installation, but I can't rememeber where.
