DELL tryied to trick my friend, and it sounded like the guy was a pedofile, he acted like he was going to send him a free hard drive, and wanted to know where he lives! im not joking, then supervisor said they know where he livess ROFL

if my friend wanted to can he do that?

Choose IDE Drive diagnostics, or Hard Drive diagnostics, which ever is listed. Then, that will run for about 90 seconds, please make note of the results for me.

Well, It isn't smart to give your address out on the forums like that. Any random person looking for server help could accidentally come here and see it. You'd be surprised. They will come to your house late at night and get you. People think it never really happens, but it does.

As far as the harassment of Dell... it's getting old. I doubt you can sue, but I'm betting they can. Abusing their system in order to intentally harass them and slander them probably isn't good on your part.

If you want to get away with it:
Use a Proxy
Disable ActiveX
And don't give them a service tag.

honestly i told them one time my keyboard doesnt work but the guy was like whats wrong with the keyboard, and i said none of the buttons work,

he didnt even ask me how i was typing to him

I've had Gateway support tell me I should open my case and remove a lose screw in the laptop. I further asked if that would void my warranty, they said yes. So why recommend it in the first place??
