I think it needs to be Arial, actually. I can't remember for sure.

You're all assuming he needs a fixed width font. A lot of this new fangled ascii art works with variable width fonts. You can find it spammed in forums and on myspace.

Exactly... it DOESN'T use fixed-width fonts, it uses Arial. Why? Because that's what the artist drew it in. I personally think ASCII art drawn on fixed-width fonts would probably look awkward. Here, I'll post one anyway, for those of you who want to see how ASCII art works in Arial:

The top is LUEshi(Mario riding Yoshi, haven't you played Mario?), the second one is a character from Phoenix Wright, perhaps Phoenix Wright himself... I wouldn't know, I haven't played the game yet. The bottom is Cell, from Dragonball Z.... Maybe you recognize him in this form?
