Does anyone have a recomendation for a nice keyboard (non wireless/usb or ps/2)

Microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro, if you can find one.

Theres also a newer version of this keyboard with a handy zoom function (works great w/photoshop and text editors), as well as a much more comfortable angle overall. The problem is, for being USB it has a suprisingly stupid design that prevents some keys from working if youre pressing 2 or 3 keys somewhere else on the keyboard. MS also decided to remove the USB hub, which is rather inconvenient.

All I need is a keyboard. Don't particularly care if it was PS/2 or USB or Wireless.

Ive got to play devils advocate here...

The optimus keyboard looks cool and all, but how often do any of use find ourselves looking at the keyboard? Maybe a few times while were learning the layout for a new game, but thats about it -- and even then, if we already know which keys do what, we dont look down that much.
Unless someone uses the keyboard as an actual screen for something, itll be another useless feature once the novelty of having it wears off.

Not to mention the stickers themselves wear off after years of use.

-2xp for that remark.

I just recently bought the Logitech LX 300 and I love it. It's wireless, but it still works nice.

The keyboard is also supposed to come with an sdk so you should be able to easily change the function of all the keys or make macros

For cerium, even that much is an improvement.

someone did a report on it in my school.

It will cost anywhere from 200-500 US Dollars, I believe.

I still can't believe MGB hasn't junked more stupid posts of yours.

Actually, I can't believe he hasn't banned you from this forum yet.

I have the Logitech LX 300 and it is SWEET. I suggest it for anyone looking for a wireless keyboard. Lets see...ive had it for 6 months or more..and had to replace the battery...twice? or less?

The only thing i'd change about it is where the Insert button is, as it is not in the normal place that you would reckon. Its located were the F1-10 keys are.

A keyboard is a keyboard. You can buy one for 15 bucks at radio shack.
Cerium - Wed Feb 22, 2006 6:37 pm
Post subject:
Which is a valid statement as long as you use keyboards that are thrown out by inner-city elementry schools.

Once you use a good keyboard, those 15-dollar pieces of shit dont cut it. Ever since I got my hands on my current keyboard (see my first post), Ive bought and returned no less than 10 replacement-attemps. Nothing has stood close to it yet.

A good keyboard is only defined by what you will use it for.

Rather, I'd say a good keyboard is only defined by who will use it.

Ergonomic, Cerium? Well.... if that's what you want....

What the hell would I need an expensive keyboard for? The only keyboards that I'd CONSIDER buy are the ones customized for specific games. I'd only consider those if I like the game a ton - enough to buy 30 dollar expansion packs that only give you a few more weapons and suits.

You can take the cover off and switch keys to different games. WoW, Doom, Madden and other things like photoshop and stuff.

It's better for typing to not have the keys labeled. Otherwise you always look down at them.

Then exclude yourself from the conversation, shitdick.

Cancerplus:
Thats a cool concept, I just wish the manufactures wouldnt fuck up the standard keyboard layout while they add all these 'innovative' features. Thats one of the main reasons Ill be screwed when this keyboard finally fails on me.
Secondly, I cant use non-ergo keyboards for very long anymore. It hurts to bend my wrists in for an extended period of time and I type significantly slower on standard keyboards.

Purgeplus:
Atleast you didnt spend anything on it. Now you just have to go get a 'new' one.
