SSCB Devastation Apprentice
======================
This is a once in a life-time opportunity to win a job as sysop in a continuum zone.
Several tasks must be completed within a time frame in order to move on. There are 3
stages to pass, each stage brining you to a higher staff level, mod, smod, and ultimately
sysop.
In order to sign up for this unique event, you must fit the following requirements:
1. Have previous staff experience in another zone
2. Have never been a staff member in SSCB Devastation before
3. You are 16 years old or older.
If you meet these requirements you can sign up by sending an email to devazone@gmail.com
The subject of the email should be: Devastation Apprentice
In the email, please include the following:
Subspace Name
Contact Email
Age
Description of the previous staff experience
Length of time played in continuum, and what zones you have been playing in
The application deadline is February 28th, 2006 at 11:59pm Eastern TIme
=====================
Here are the goals/layout:
1. You have 1 month to become a regular, active player in the zone. You must create
a squad (you can not join a current zone squad) of at least 8 people and have this squad make it within the top 5 squads in average
points. You have 2 full scorereset periods to complete this goal.
Once completed, all players who have succeeded will move on to the next round and recieve mod.
2. For anyone remaining in the game, they must moderate an event that attracts at least
30 players into the zone. At least 20 of these players must be active in the event. You will
count as 1 player, even though you will be moderating it. The event can be a pre-designed
event in Devastation (such as the mega-jackpot event), or a new event idea that can be implemented
for you by other zone staff. You have 30 days from the time you recieve mod to organize and
run the event. If the first event is unsuccessful, you may attempt again after 1 week, as long
as it still is within the 30 day time limit.
Once completed, you will move on to the next round and recieve smod.
If more then one mod establishes this goal, the mod that recieved the highest overall population
in the event will move on. However, the other mods may recieve a smod position with the zone at the
descretion of the other zone staff members if they have done a worthy job.
3. The final round, is a population increase. You must find ways to bring the zone population to a
20 person average for at least a 1 week period. You have 60 days from the time you have recieved smod
to make this average.
Once completed, you will recieve the ultimate prize of sysop.
As sysop you are expected to maintain the zone population, run events, and help maintain the zone and
zone staff.
