Post subject: red in zone list even with port and port+1 open
Hi.

I have three zones running on a server

Zone 1: 12001
Zone 2: 13001
Zone 3: 14001
External billing

In the firewall the following is open
12001, 12002 UDP in/out
13001, 13002 UDP in/out
14001, 14002 UDP in/out
directory port TCP/UDP in/out
billing port TCP/UDP in/out

All zones work but only Zone 1 shows up as green in the zonelist when there are 0 players. The other two are red. There are no packets being dropped in the firewall log as far as I can see.

Any tips? icon_smile.gif

Edit:
I've now opened all UDP ports over 1024. Still same problem..

Are the other zones actually running? sa_tongue.gif
Subgame or ASSS?

heh, yes they are running. It's subgame2.exe. I can join all zones and play in them but two of them show up red in the zonelist when there are 0 players. As soon as one player enters it becomes green.

So the problem is that only one out of three zone shows as green when there are 0 players in them. Very annoying. It is always the same zone that is working.

Could it be a server.ini setting? Or is one forced to have a bot in there maybe to get it show green icon_eek.gif . This is an annoying problem if you have zones that might be empty sometimes during the day.

Hmm. Seems to be continuum client related. If I remove my zone.dat and only add one of the servers it will always be green even with 0 players. If I add another of the servers it will sometimes be green and sometimes red. The third I add is always red. Strange..

Edit:
Bleh, must be my server somehow. Moved my question over to ssforum.net for additional feedback.
