Zones either are very small downloads for simple graphics, such as soccer stats or high score winners of last reset, or extremely large downloads. Changing animation frames counts won't effect that. They are already huge because of the way they are working with the images themselves.
If you have massive amounts of background images, replacement sounds, and all new ships/bombs/etc, your download will be huge. Its better to instead have Continuum use MP3/OGG instead of just wave, as thats easier to do, and will actually make a significant impact on download sizes.

Yeah I thought of this because I myself have Giant Mech and Warship custom shipsets from my 1st zone that are sidescroll.
Left Right maybe some that are normally rotated but very few.
I thought it was stupid when it would be better to have 2 simple frames.
Actually I tested 2 frames out and it looked like a black square tiny one with parts of my mech moving. Then I thought Maybe later I could reduce the mech ship to that size I saw.
But I may try that for Mini Mechs I decided it's gonna have a Afterburning jumping effect. so if I can make it 360 degrees small enough to fit on less frames it might work. I thought the black image showing parts of my mechs as the ship was 50x50 as an estimate.
