Use ?arena to get a listing of arenas, tick the one you want to enter, and press ENTER. If my both there means bot, entering public arenas is different in the RequestArenaChange packet than private arenas. Look at the source code for any of the various bots on how it works. If my both there means brother, tell him to do the above steps with ?arena.

Guest, as I understand correctly you are trying to open another (Public ..) arena with a bot. (This isn't possible to do with Esc+a or using ?go command since the server will redirect any client to a public arena that can still contain players.)

You can workaround this by changing the setting MaxPlayers with ?set Misc:MaxPlayers:1 so every public arena can only contain 1 player and the next (thus, your bot) will open another public arena. After the bot has opened the second public arena you can reset the setting to nothing. (?set Misc:MaxPlayers: )

Keep in mind, this method is a workaround and not recommended for public zones since it will disrupt the zone severly.
With the current subspace server it isn't possible to open another public arena like you do with other subarenas.

Ummm, the reason EG has multiple public arenas is that they are actually full. Why don't you try getting your population up a bit first?

Yup, the server opens another public arena when one public arena can't contain more players (due to that maxplayers setting). However, it was never meant to be so you can open them at will.

If you really want to do this clean and safe without population, I recommend you try to do it in asss. Don't ask me, ask the people inside this forum.

I heard somewhere using ?go and a number goes to an arena by its internal server id?

That is of course for subgame, ?go 4938 would create (Public 4938) on asss unless that has been changed since the last time I tried

If you want to create a new public arena, have a bot go to it. Bots can create public arenas because they can correctly send the public-arena go packet, which you cannot do via any text command in Continuum.
