Will 200gb of bw a month cover a zone that will get at max 50 people?

I'd say yes...but, how graphic intense is it?

For a zone you can do it in 100MB easy. You won't even get relatively close to your limit.

Sure with very little/next to no gfx.

Confess, zones with lots of LVZ graphics people tend to avoid. Even if you make it optional graphics, they still avoid it.

By default Continuum sets you to download all possible files (levelfiles and mapfile) weather it is an optional download or not.

You look at that Zelda zone and it takes like 10 minutes to get into it.

Now look at Trench Wars. It takes about 10 seconds.

How the fuck do people avoid it? Look at EG and DSB, their population is booming as well as ever. Do you not even play the game anymore or something?

They aren't exactly graphics-intensive...

As we speak, EG's download is only 1.05MB, and that's with a 229K LVZ for their holiday music.

Wow, and I thought it was like 2mb or 3mb for EG. I liked it better without all the graphics. icon_sad.gif

That is more then enough for a single, small zone.

I remember a time I made a 260kb map and I thought "wow, large file, will take a while to d/l".
I remember when there was a time downloading VIE's maps took about half a minute.

A bandwidth of 200gb/month should be sufficient for 50 people.
However, what is the system in itself?
And what are the d/l - u/l rates?
