On my server I have the *putfile, *delfile and *getfile commands disabled. So that a SysOp can't screw over a zone. Instead I give FTP access to the owner of the zone and tell him that if he wants to allow others access to the files, s/he can just ask me.

FTP transfer is faster than Continuum transfer, as well it is more secure because I have logs of everything and because the owner of the zone can choose who has priveliedges to the files and which specific ones.

Disabling *putfile, *delfile, and *getfile is retarded, just requires more work for yourself.

There's one simple solution to this: don't make someone a sysop unless you actually need them to be.
