Post subject: ip problems
I got problems with hosting a zone. I got NAT and that may cause some problems. If i have my real public IP in server.ini [misc] part and 127.0.0.1 as billing ip, my server is working if if i try to find server with ip: 127.0.0.1, but i can't find my zone with real ip. But when i change billing ip to same that i got in [misc] part, i can't even connect my server to billing server. I have opened the port in NAT settings. How must i set those ip's to get that server working? or is the problem somewhere else?

You should've posted this in 'General Questions'.

Put 'localhost' in the [Billing]IP= section and your 'real' IP in the [Misc]ServerIP= section. Make sure your server's listening port is also forwarded.

It still has the same problem. Isn't localhost and 127.0.0.1 same thing?

Not for subgame.

Priit screwed it up, so it doesn't accept 127.0.0.1 anymore.

Is your billing port different from your server port?

ports are same. But i have inner ip 10.0.0.5 and outer ip 84.230.179.11. whatismyip.com tells that my ip is that outer, but for example Little Fighter 2 -game tells, that it is 10.0.0.5. Does that affect to this problem?

Let me see if I got this straight. You are running Subgame, Subbill, and Continuum on the same server, correct? In your server.ini file, you have both [Misc] Port and [Billing] Port the same?
  1. In server.ini, change your [Misc] Port to a different value than the billing port. Something like 8100 is good and unlikely to have a collision.
  2. In server.ini, change your [Billing] IP to localhost and not an decial IP address.
  3. On your router, forward port 8100 and 8101 to your computer. You need to second one for the zone not to show red on their main menus.
  4. When connecting to the computer with your Continuum on the same machine, connect directly to IP address 127.0.0.1 via adding a custom zone entry, and not using the one from the directory servers.

Your LAN IP address of 10.0.0.5 will only be used if you are connecting to your zone from another computer on your LAN that is not running the server software. You cannot connect to your zone from inside the LAN via your global IP address, as most routers are too stupid to correctly handle this.
