General Questions - Privately Sent Sysop/SMod/Mod Commands Anonymous - Sat Dec 03, 2005 7:57 pm Post subject: Privately Sent Sysop/SMod/Mod Commands
How do I privately send sysop/smod/mod commands? Do I PM the person with the command (e.g. :playername:*command) or just tick to their name using PgUp PgDown and type in the command?
I know this is sort of a dumb question, except I'm really confused.
Sincerely,
J'Misunderstood (real name is Henry)

Use this Syntax:
/*command
Send the command to the player with the '/' to private message them.
Example
(tickname is BDwinsAlt)
Aflac> /*kill
BDwinsAlt left arena.

THE Lucifer - Sat Dec 03, 2005 11:23 pm Post subject: Do not use /playername *command Do use :playername:*command
Because if you use the "/" pm and the player quits the arena, you'll be sending the command to the next person on the player list ("great" way to ban or give powers to the wrong person).

Basically, just send it as a private message, the method is your choice.
Grav (lucifer) has a point, but normally you send the command right after you tick the name so it doesn't really matter.

But if their in another arena it won't work. I tried it once. I forgot it worked if your in the same arena
Anyways usually you won't pm the wrong guy.
Use w/e u want.

/ basicaly sends it to the ticked player (%tickname).
So naturaly, you need to be under the same arena as the player list and its ticker work on arena-present bassis.
