Activating Windows is pretty simple. If your internet connection isn't working at the time you install Windows, you can easily do it via phone. Takes 5 minutes, tops.

Is there anything stopping you from installing xp from the same disc/key to 2 computers at once? (and they both function).

You activate the product usually after you register the CD Key.

Just go get a multi-user liscence. That's what I have for my XP Pro and XP Home.
